That I have so many grandparents who are still living.
For the roof over my head.
For my ability to walk, run and move freely.
For the parents who let me love and help lead their children.
For friends who are committed to friendship with me for the long haul, no matter how much baggage I bring on the trip.
For my brother and sister, even when they drive me crazy.
For my solid education.
For the freedom to worship freely whenever and wherever I want.
For a paid off car.
For a roommate with patience.
For the courage to make life changes.
For my talent as a writer and humorist.
For camping even when it’s in the rain.
For my gym buddy.
For being taught that writing thank you notes is not up for discussion.
For remembering what I am thankful for even when the computer shuts down and I have to recreate the list.
For my teen and nearly teen god-children who still like to spend time with me.
For my ability to fall both up and down stairs.
For my 30’s.
For knee high socks.
For youthful looking skin.
For Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.
For Pizza.
That my brother’s “booger cemetery” is in his wife’s car and not mine.
That I rarely feel the need to do push-ups and even less often to wear a push up bra.
For an uncanny ability to always pick the slowest lane. Every time.
That in Portland, no one really cares how you dress.
For my ability to digest dairy.
For you.
Happy Thanksgiving.
